PARISH COUNCIL
NOTES
From theAnnual General Meeting held 17th
May 2001 in the Village Hall
Before the start of the Parish Council meeting, a general
Village Meeting was held to discuss the siting of the
skateboard park on the Recreation Ground. The chairman of

After some discussion, the meeting agreed this was the
best site for the park.

is hoped to improve the drainage using pipes but care has
to be taken to avoid the many services.
Path to school - liaison with WCC is continuing. Another
visit has been promised by WCC to make drawings of the
layout and make proposals to improve safety on Common
Road.
Skateboard Park
Planning permission is not needed so the equipment has
been ordered; delivery expected in four weeks' time. A
base to be made ready by the MGMC. Following an enquiry,
it has been confirmed that planning permission is not
needed to erect floodlights for the skateboard park if
they are not more than 4 m in height. However, it was
agreed to erect the skateboard park first and then look
into the feasibility of floodlighting.
Biffa Grant
The Whiteparish Committee have made the application to
Biffaward for a grant towards the Sports Pavilion; it
will be determined in June.

the Common. Their additional store has been approved by

and found everything in order but will keep a check on

Brickworth Junction has been approved; a weight limit on
vehicles of 17.5 tonnes may be agreed, together with a
routing agreement. The access road may be started in the
autumn and sand extraction may begin next spring.
The application for four new houses on the White Hart car
park has been deferred; the applicant is having some
alterations to the plans made.
A map showing the proposed New Forest boundary has been
received; it will be displayed on the village
noticeboard.

Whiteparish will receive a 2-day visit from WCC workmen
in July; a list of urgent jobs will be compiled including
