WHITEPARISH AREA CRIME - YEAR TO

Total offences reported = 29, of which:
10 are burglaries
5 are thefts from motor vehicle
2 are thefts from a dwelling
5 are theft (other, including motor vehicles)
1 is drugs related
4 are deception type offences
2 are criminal damage
The burglaries relate to attacks on both dwelling and
commercial properties both inside and outside the main
village area. One of these burglaries has been detected
and enquiries are still continuing regarding the others.
The 4 deception offences have all been detected and
relate to offences committed at local Bed & Breakfast
establishments and a local service station. Offenders in
each case were successfully apprehended.
The 1 drugs related offence concerns the arrest of a
fairly local man who was found in possession of £4,000
worth of Class A and Class B drugs, within the village.
He has been charged with Possession with Intent to Supply
and is due to appear before a Crown Court Jury in the
very near future.
In addition, there have been 3 arrests locally for
drinking and driving offences, each of the offenders
being successfully prosecuted resulting in suitable
driving bans and hefty fines being administered.
